Coffee  & family are  important

I always dream of becoming successful in my coffee business and help my family! I am Yasmin Mohamed, I am 34. I came in Kakuma in 2005 from Ethiopia. I got married in the camp and now I have 3 children. I escaped my country because of civil war and political issues. What I like the most about Kakuma is free basic education and shelter. However, the corruption (when it comes to resettlements) and the weather are two things that I hate the most about this place. I still remember when I come to Kakuma, the place was extremely dust and dry. Now luckily it has become more greenish. And that is my dearest memory from this place. I work hard so that I can survive with my family in this camp. I do sell mirra and Ethiopian coffee. Those are my daily activities. And my dream is to become a big coffee supplier. I would love to move to Canada in the next coming few years because it is a strategic market place for coffee and it is a good place for my family. As for Kakuma, my dream is to see people being resettled and have a good life. Outsiders should know that Kakuma is a place like any other place, it is just too dry and dusty.
